What it does
Robinhood provides US investing accounts through its app and Legend workspace, with a separate managed-portfolio service called Strategies. Gold is an optional paid membership. The brand also operates regional services, so the US stock account and European stock-token products should be compared under their own terms.
The app and Legend support self-directed market and portfolio work. Strategies delegates portfolio management to Robinhood Asset Management. These are different responsibilities even though the services share a brand. European Classic Stock Tokens are derivatives linked to securities, rather than ownership of the underlying shares.
Stock, ETF and their options trades have no commission, and the standard account has no opening or maintenance fee. Regulatory, exchange and other product charges can still apply. Gold costs US$5 monthly or US$50 annually; eligible new members can try it for 30 days before the selected subscription renews. Gold is not required for those commission-free trades.
US applicants must be at least 18, have an SSN and a qualifying US address, and be a citizen, permanent resident or eligible visa holder. In the app, Gold renewal can be managed through Account, Menu, then Robinhood Gold. Read the selected service’s terms before linking funds.
