Roblox hosts games and experiences made by its creator community. Its player and creator tools share a platform with age-based access controls.
Choose an experience with the player’s age and account permissions in mind. Roblox applies privacy defaults according to age and location, so two accounts may not expose the same features.
Chat has its own eligibility rules: age checks, privacy settings and region determine access. The current guidance says users under nine cannot direct-message friends outside games, while trusted-friend features differ for older age groups. Review the communication settings with the intended player rather than assuming that joining an experience also enables every social feature.
