What it does
Roll20 runs tabletop roleplaying sessions online with character sheets, maps and other play tools. It also has a marketplace for game material.
Begin with the character sheet for your game system and a small scene before importing an entire campaign. Roll20’s platform tools and marketplace books serve different roles: creating a game does not automatically include every commercial rulebook. Confirm the host’s subscription and purchased-content sharing arrangements for your group.
Only the game’s creator can enable sharing of purchased Compendium books. In Game Settings, choose Yes under “Share my compendium with players?” and save. Sharing has subscription and player-count limits; exceeding them can disable shared access even when some participants own their own books.
