What it does
Ryt Bank is the Malaysian consumer banking service of YTL Digital Bank Berhad. Its Ryt AI assistant can prepare payments from typed instructions, photos or screenshots and retrieve recent transactions. The savings account also has Save Pockets for money kept apart from everyday spending.
Ryt AI changes how payment details enter the banking app. Type a request to pay a named person, or upload a bill image, and it fills in the relevant information. The illustrated transfer flow presents the recipient, amount and destination for confirmation before proceeding. It can also retrieve recent transactions or prepare a move into a Save Pocket. The assistant is currently in beta.
Save Pockets have their own labels and balances. External transfers must pass through the Main Account; Pockets cannot receive or send external funds directly. That keeps earmarked savings away from the balance used for immediate payments.
Account requirements and charges
The personal savings account is for Malaysian citizens aged 18 or over who already have an account with another Malaysian bank. Activation requires at least RM1. Only one account in a sole name is permitted, and it cannot be used for business.
There is no ongoing service, statement, closure or dormancy charge and no minimum balance. Physical card issuance or replacement costs RM12. Overseas cash withdrawal costs RM12 per transaction, while foreign-currency card transactions carry a 2% charge in addition to the applicable Visa exchange rate. DuitNow and internal Ryt transfers currently have their fees waived.
In-app live chat is available around the clock. Telephone support operates daily from 8am to 8pm.
