What it does
Typicons is Stephen Hutchings’ interface icon set, distributed as a web font with CSS and SVG files. The artwork uses CC BY-SA 4.0 and the font uses SIL OFL.
Typicons fits an interface already built around icon-font classes. Search the website by name or keyword and hover over a result for details. The collection includes solid and outline symbols.
Install typicons.font with npm, or use the files in the repository’s src/font folder. Load the supplied CSS and keep the referenced font files at the expected paths. The included demo shows the class pattern: typcn typcn-adjust-brightness renders the brightness symbol. SVG drawings are separately available in src/svg if you prefer individual vector assets.
When sharing SVG artwork, credit the creator, include a licence reference and identify changes. Distributed adaptations must use CC BY-SA 4.0 or a permitted compatible licence. The font follows OFL instead: keep its licence with redistributed files, including modified fonts. The project includes the materials needed to make a custom version.
