What it does
Safe Wallet helps teams and individuals manage shared crypto accounts with a chosen approval threshold. Standalone Core accounts are free; paid Safe Pro workspaces add organizational tools for businesses.
Safe separates preparing a payment from approving it. A proposer supplies the recipient, amount and context; the required signers review and approve the request before execution. This suits a treasury in which one person prepares payroll and other people authorize it.
Start in the web app by connecting a signer wallet. Choose Create new account, name the Safe, add the signer addresses and set the confirmation threshold. An Ethereum Name Service name can be used instead of a pasted address. Deployment normally incurs a network charge. The documented Pay later option has a single-signer restriction, so do not assume it provides a free multisignature deployment.
The threshold is an operating rule with a recovery consequence. Two approvals from three signers allow one signer to be unavailable; requiring every signer means losing one can block spending. Keep enough independent signing credentials accessible and plan how an unavailable signer would be replaced. A warning or transaction simulation still needs a human review of the recipient and intended action.
Free Core remains available for standalone accounts. Safe Pro Starter covers two Safe accounts and costs EUR 189 monthly or EUR 1,990 annually before VAT. Business starts at EUR 669 monthly or EUR 7,190 annually; larger arrangements use a custom quote. New Starter and Business workspaces offer a 30-day trial without payment details. Pro is sold to businesses, and account capacity rather than member count determines the plan.
Gas sponsorship also has limits: Starter includes up to ten transactions monthly with a EUR 5 cap per transaction. Check the selected plan for larger needs. Safe's service terms apply sanctions restrictions and require lawful use in your jurisdiction; connected financial applications have additional terms and charges.
