What it does

Safello is a Swedish crypto service for buying, selling and holding assets in an account wallet. Mobile BankID handles onboarding, and Auto-Save schedules repeated purchases. Simple brokerage orders, swaps and order-book trades use different charges, so the chosen route affects the total cost.

Auto-Save in the Safello app

Open account settings and select Auto-Save, or choose a coin in your wallet and add a plan there. Set the amount, day and weekly, fortnightly or monthly frequency. A normal purchase can also become a monthly plan through Set up as Auto-Save.

Automatic payments support cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The broader list of one-off funding methods also includes Swish, Trustly, Bankgirot and SEPA; those are not all Auto-Save options.

Safello retries a failed payment up to three times and sends a notification after each failure. If the attempts for a period fail, it moves to the next period. Three consecutive failed periods cancel the plan. To stop it yourself, find the active plan in account settings or the coin's wallet view, select Cancel and confirm.

Read the percentage and minimum together

Auto-Save charges 0.49%, subject to a SEK49 minimum. That minimum can dominate a small recurring purchase. Standard buys and sales start at 3.49% below SEK150,000 of rolling 12-month volume, also with a SEK49 minimum. Buying USDC has a separate 0.49% rate.

The order-book schedule lists 0.6% for market and stop-loss orders, and 0.4% for limit and take-profit orders. Quoted rates include a spread as well as the stated transaction fee. A market quote is an estimate and the executed price can change. External crypto transfers have separate asset and network charges.

BankID is required

Personal users need a valid Swedish BankID and must be 18 or older. Safello does not accept protected, hidden or restricted identities. Applicable legal restrictions, including those linked to citizenship, still apply. These requirements make the service relevant to eligible Swedish BankID holders rather than a general international account.

Strengths

  • Auto-Save offers weekly, fortnightly and monthly purchase timing
  • An active plan can be stopped from account settings or its coin view

Watch out for

  • A Swedish BankID and an accepted identity status are required
  • The SEK49 minimum fee can outweigh the advertised Auto-Save percentage on small orders

Best for

  • Eligible Swedish BankID holders comparing automatic purchases with manual trading
