What it does

sameface is KraftApps’ Shopify tool for product photos, model images, short clips and single-photo 3D views. Merchants choose a catalogue image, reuse a model or saved look, and publish selected results separately. Generated images and clips are stored in the merchant’s Shopify Files.

Select a product inside Shopify, then choose Photo, Clip or a 360-degree view. Reuse a model and saved look for later shots. Generation does not publish automatically: inspect the result and attach it to the product when ready. Removing a shot from sameface leaves its media in Shopify Files and does not remove a published storefront image.

The 3D option builds a GLB file from one product photo for Shopify’s native viewer and AR presentation. Rotate the result before publishing. Hidden surfaces are inferred, so the workflow is best suited to objects with simple shapes; a distinctive back or unseen construction can be misrepresented.

Billing uses Shopify usage charges with no recurring base fee. Standard images cost USD 0.08, with 2,048-pixel images at USD 0.30. Video is charged by duration and quality, and each 3D view costs USD 1.50. Shopify asks for a spending cap before paid generation; the default USD 100 cap is a limit, not an upfront purchase.

New merchants receive fifteen introductory photos. They exclude video, video prerequisite stills and 3D views. Successful paid generations are charged even if the result is not published. Real-person model uploads require confirmation that the photograph and use of the person’s face are authorised.

Strengths

  • Separates generation from storefront publication.
  • Keeps generated photos and clips in the merchant’s Shopify Files.

Watch out for

  • Single-photo 3D generation infers the unseen surfaces.
  • Video and 3D output are excluded from the introductory free photos.
  • Successful paid generations are charged even if not published.

Best for

  • Shopify merchants creating occasional product photos, clips and simple 3D views.
