Samwell.ai is built for long-form academic writing. It generates essays, research papers, and literature reviews with citations pulled from over 20 academic libraries and databases. You can upload your own PDFs, articles, or lecture notes, and the AI will use them to produce cited content. The editor supports rewriting sections, expanding paragraphs, adding images, charts, tables, and quotations, plus rephrasing and plagiarism checks. A built-in AI check and humanizing tool aim to make text read naturally, though the site states that no tool can guarantee 100% undetectability. Collaboration lets you invite others to write in real time, leave comments, and chat in the document. An AI Tutor answers questions about course materials, explains concepts, and quizzes you. New users get 1,000 free words, and a premium Academic Plan covers longer work. Before relying on it, check that citations match your style guide and that the final text meets your institution's rules on AI assistance.
