New accounts and transferred accounts

New VCTRADE applicants register an email and password, verify a phone number, enter personal details and submit identification. Japanese nationals can use a driving licence or My Number card; foreign nationals use a residence card or special permanent resident certificate. Applicants must be adults living in Japan, and approval follows a review.

Existing BITPOINT and DMM Bitcoin customers should use their named migration section. The site distinguishes VCTRADE from BITPOINT services, and the account guide says new BITPOINT applications have ended. This distinction matters when finding the right login or transaction guide.

What costs money

Account opening and maintenance carry no charge. The fee schedule also lists yen deposits, yen withdrawals and outbound crypto transfers as free of SBI VC Trade fees, although an external sender may charge. Exchange execution uses a 0.01% maker rebate and a 0.05% taker fee. Leveraged positions have separate funding rates.

Spot trading and scheduled purchases have separate guides. A schedule repeats purchases over time; it does not protect the resulting holding from falling prices. Lending and leveraged trading add conditions beyond an ordinary spot purchase.
