What it does
Beyond Compare compares text, folders, images and tables, with merge and synchronization workflows on Windows, Mac and Linux.
Start with folder comparison to locate competing revisions, then open changed files for detailed review. Comparison rules suppress differences you do not need; Pro's text and folder merge views combine selected changes into an output. Standard provides comparison, while Pro adds two-/three-way merging, replacement-ignore rules and certain remote integrations. The trial can switch between editions. A purchased licence is permanent, with free minor updates and separately charged major upgrades. A single-user licence covers one person's multiple computers or one shared workstation under the stated alternative.
