What it does
Screenshot.Rocks is a browser editor for presenting screenshots with browser or iPhone frames. Background and markup options help turn a raw capture into an image for a product page, post or portfolio.
Drop, paste or select a capture, or supply a website URL. The editor initially frames landscape images as browser windows and portrait images as iPhones; you can switch the frame.
Choose a background, set an aspect ratio or exact canvas dimensions, then move and resize the screenshot. Markup adds arrows, shapes, text or numbered steps. Download PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG, or copy the image.
Exports are free, unlimited and unwatermarked. No account is required. The software is available under the MIT licence.
Strengths
- The browser address bar accepts a custom address or can be hidden.
- Setting the background to None preserves transparency in PNG and WebP.
Watch out for
- The canvas stops at 2300 pixels, limiting its use for large App Store screenshot formats.
- Its SVG contains the rendered image and does not become sharper when enlarged.
Best for
- Product screenshots for posts and release notes
