What it does

Seal Subscriptions manages recurring and prepaid Shopify subscriptions, customer portal settings and billing schedules. Merchants control which product, contact and schedule changes customers can make, with paid packages expanding capacity and operational tools.

Seal separates recurring items from one-time additions, which leave the subscription after its next renewal. Under Settings, Customer portal, use Product editing and Subscription editing to choose the changes customers may make. Billing schedule shows past and upcoming attempts, with skips available only when enabled.

Customers can enter through their store account or a link in subscription emails. Keep the new-subscription notification enabled if that email is their access route. A magic-link request form can also be enabled. Merchant setup takes place inside Shopify admin, even when subscribers use email links.

Annual billing is available at a 20% discount, and paid features have a thirty-day trial. Seal charges no transaction fee; Shopify and payment-provider charges are separate. API and webhooks appear across the comparison, while higher tiers add features such as fixed schedules, loyalty discounts and bulk actions.
