What it does

Search Analytics for Sheets is a spreadsheet add-on for on-demand Search Console requests and scheduled data backups. It supports combined dimensions, filters and URL Inspection information alongside search-performance measures.

Put queries and landing pages in the same sheet

Install the add-on and authorize Search Console access through your Google account. Open its sidebar, select a verified property and date range, then group by Query and Page. Add a country or device filter and choose the results sheet.

Review the Clear sheet before getting results setting before requesting data, particularly if the destination contains work you want to keep. Output puts clicks, impressions, CTR and average position beside the chosen dimensions. Daily or monthly automated requests preserve regular snapshots.

Free and paid access

All plans include grouping, filtering and unlimited requests across verified properties. Free access lasts indefinitely.

Plan URL Inspection rows per request
Free 100
Pro 1,000
Unlimited 2,000

Pro retrieves up to 100,000 performance rows per request; Unlimited requests all available rows. Google's data availability and property quotas still apply. Query-grouped results omit some rare searches, so their sum can be lower than an ungrouped property total.

Strengths

  • Combines multiple Search Console dimensions in a spreadsheet.
  • Supports daily or monthly data backups.

Watch out for

  • Query-grouped data does not include every query contributing to aggregate totals.

Best for

  • SEOs building repeatable Search Console analyses in Google Sheets
