What it does
Seed Savers Australia conserves traditional food-plant varieties through home gardens and local seed networks. Its resources include a handbook, videos and free manuals on seed networks and food gardens.
A local seed network and a personal garden record answer different questions. Seed Savers Australia provides material for both growing interests and organising a community that shares locally adapted planting material. The free Local Seed Network Manual is a clear starting point for the latter. Video resources and its handbook offer other learning routes. The organisation's Australian base matters when using its examples, and its shop states that books are no longer sent outside Australia. Readers elsewhere can begin with the downloadable material without assuming the same purchasing arrangements apply.

- Free manuals support food-garden and seed-network learning
Watch out for
- The shop states that books are not shipped outside Australia
