What it does
Seeking Alpha combines financial news and contributor analysis with stock ratings and portfolio tools. A free account includes a portfolio, alerts and limited article access. Premium expands article access and adds Quant Ratings, portfolio syncing and Portfolio Health Check.
Free reading and paid analysis
A free account can read one Premium article each month and use basic tools and stock alerts. Premium adds broader article access and tools for comparing ratings and monitoring a portfolio. PRO and individual Investing Groups are separate services, so one subscription does not necessarily include another analyst's paid group.
Seeking Alpha's published Premium renewal notice states US$299 per year plus applicable tax. New-customer promotions may differ; check both the first term and renewal amount before subscribing. Automatic renewal can be cancelled in Subscription Settings.
Contributor articles present individual investment arguments. Compare the reasoning, date and assumptions with reported company information rather than treating an opinion or rating as a promise about future performance.
Strengths
- Contributor analysis is published alongside related financial news
- Free accounts can keep a portfolio and stock alerts
Watch out for
- Free users are limited to one Premium article a month
- Investing Groups are separate subscription services
