What it does
Sellfy combines an online storefront with digital delivery, recurring products, physical goods and print-on-demand merchandise. Its paid plans vary by annual sales allowance, file size and marketing features. You can manage product files on the web and use the Android or iOS app to check sales, orders and notifications.
Sellfy suits a creator who wants a hosted store for several product formats. A downloadable file, a recurring digital product and a physical order can sit in the same store, but each has its own delivery setup.
For a download, use Digital Products > Add new product, upload a file or choose an existing one, then add the description, variants and media preview. Save the product when its contents and price are ready. A product may contain up to 50 files, and video can be offered for download, streaming or both.
The published plan prices and current comparison are:
| Plan | Monthly payment | Yearly payment | Annual sales allowance | Listed maximum file size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29 | $264 | $10,000 | 10GB |
| Business | $79 | $708 | $50,000 | 15GB |
| Premium | $159 | $1,428 | $200,000 | 20GB |
A 14-day trial is available, but checkout is disabled until the account is upgraded. Sellfy charges no ordinary transaction commission; PayPal or Stripe processing fees remain separate. If you exceed the plan's sales allowance, an upgrade is expected. The pricing page says a 2% overage charge may apply to excess revenue if you do not upgrade.
What a subscription actually includes
A Sellfy subscription grants access to one product, rather than the entire store. Choose weekly, monthly or annual billing and update the hosted files yourself. The system collects recurring payments and sends the download links. Updating the files changes what existing links provide, so make the content schedule clear to subscribers.
Connect payments through Account > Payment Settings. Stripe and PayPal support subscriptions, but PayPal recurring collection needs a Business account. Sellers need a supported receiving account; if neither processor supports receiving payments in the seller's country, Sellfy says only free products can be offered.
The mobile app focuses on sales data and orders. Its Dashboard, Analytics and Orders tabs provide the overview, while Settings controls notifications. Physical orders can be marked shipped there after dispatch.
Strengths
- A storefront can combine downloads, subscriptions and physical products.
- Previously uploaded files can be reused when creating another product.
- Mobile order history and configurable notifications help monitor the store.
Watch out for
- The trial cannot take paid orders until the account is upgraded.
- Subscriptions cover a single product, and sellers must update its files manually.
- Plan sales caps can require an upgrade or trigger an overage charge.
Best for
- Creators selling several product formats from one store
- Publishers delivering regularly updated digital files
- Small shops monitoring digital and physical orders
