What it does
SendLayer delivers application and website emails through an API or SMTP relay. It provides delivery logs, bounce handling, tracking and webhooks after you verify a sending domain. A trial covers up to 200 emails; paid plans are billed annually and have monthly sending allowances.
Authorise the sending domain before connecting the application to SendLayer. The service generates DNS records and creates an sl subdomain for the sending setup. Its guide offers a Cloudflare connection route or manual entry of the records; the dashboard shows a status check for each one. If verification fails, inspect how the DNS host handles the hostname rather than repeatedly adding the full domain to a field that already appends it.
After verification, connect the website through the API or SMTP and inspect delivery activity for its account or order messages. DNS changes may take time to propagate.
The free trial contains up to 200 emails in total. Paid sending allowances reset monthly, while payment is annual:
| Plan | Price in USD, billed annually | Monthly emails | Sender domains | Log history |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $5/month | 1,000 | 1 | 3 days |
| Business | $15/month | 5,000 | 3 | 15 days |
| Growth | $25/month | 10,000 | 5 | 30 days |
Use Upgrade in the dashboard to select a larger plan. SendLayer also automatically upgrades accounts when a paid allowance or the trial runs out, so a sending limit is not a hard spending cap.
