What it does

SEO Utils combines keyword, backlink, search-monitoring and site-data tools in a desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux. It can connect external data accounts and Google properties, while semantic keyword clustering runs locally.

SEO Utils brings keyword research, backlink data and monitoring into a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. Semantic keyword clustering can run locally; several other datasets require a separately funded DataForSEO account or an alternative paid data-access arrangement.

Set up local clustering

For version two, install Docker and leave it running. In SEO Utils, open Settings > Services, select Version 2 and save. In Semantic Keyword Clustering, choose an embedding model for the language you need. The app downloads and caches that model automatically.

Windows and Linux can use supported GPU processing. macOS uses the CPU, which matters when planning a large clustering job.

The desktop licence is a one-time purchase with one year of updates. After that year, the last eligible version remains usable. Remote Access is an optional monthly service, and the MCP server for AI-assistant connections is a separate one-time add-on. These extras and external data charges should be budgeted separately from the desktop licence.

Strengths

  • Combines local semantic clustering with broader SEO research and monitoring tools.
  • Supports Windows, macOS and Linux desktop environments.

Watch out for

  • Several research datasets require separately funded external data access.
  • Version-two semantic clustering requires Docker; macOS uses CPU processing.

Best for

  • SEOs who want desktop research and local clustering and can configure data connections
