What it does

SerpWatch provides rank tracking with historical search-result features, keyword tagging, weighted project graphs and agency reporting. Its broader toolkit includes keyword research, backlink checks and content tools with separate allowances.

SerpWatch suits campaigns where particular keyword changes deserve attention. Keep a product-launch term in its own tagged group, give important terms more weight in the project graph and configure a relevant Slack or email alert. Use ranking and search-result feature history to investigate the alert before attributing it to a specific site change.

Check frequency matters as much as the size of the keyword list:

Plan Checks per month Equivalent daily keywords Client portals Team members
Starter 7,500 250 0 1
Growth 22,500 750 3 3
Premium 75,000 2,500 10 10

An hourly check consumes more of the pool than a daily check. Project Setup and Billing show purchased, used and remaining checks, so revisit the balance after changing a schedule. Client portals are a separate limit, even when projects cover many domains.

Registration asks for a name, email, password and plan. Subscriptions have monthly and annual options, with a fourteen-day money-back period. SerpWatch also offers a REST API for connecting its data to other systems.

Strengths

  • Combines rule-based alerts with keyword tags and weighted project graphs.
  • Shows remaining keyword checks and provides branded agency reporting options.

Watch out for

  • More frequent ranking checks consume the monthly allowance faster.
  • Client portal quantities depend on the selected plan.

Best for

  • Marketers and agencies monitoring a defined set of important keyword changes
