What it does
Smart SEO by Sherpas is a Shopify application for metadata, image optimization, broken links, sitemap and index controls. Paid plans add bulk editing, JSON-LD and broader automation and reporting capabilities.
Smart SEO is useful when a Shopify catalogue needs consistent titles, image alt text and link maintenance. Inspect representative product pages before applying a bulk metadata template. Tokens reuse product information, so a poorly chosen template can repeat the same problem across many pages.
The Free plan includes manual metadata and alt-text work, limited audits, sitemap controls, 50 image optimizations and 100 broken-link page checks per month. Paid plans expand those pools:

Image, link, audit and AI allowances are separate. Monthly pools reset on the first day of the month, regardless of the subscription date. The seven-day paid trial has reduced quotas. In Plans, subscribing ends the trial early and releases the paid allowance; Settings > Get Quota offers extra processing packs.
Install and manage Smart SEO through your Shopify account. A store can remain on Free, and a paid subscription can be downgraded from Plans.
