What it does
Shift4Shop is a hosted ecommerce platform for building a storefront and managing products, orders and checkout. Its option templates and inventory controls suit catalogs with many related variants. Account registration is required, and plan eligibility depends on the merchant's location.
Copying an option template supplies a product's initial choices; linking it keeps later template changes connected. For example, adding a size to a linked clothing template updates its associated products. Advanced Options can give a variant separate stock, pricing or shipping adjustments.
Stock Count distinguishes available units from On Hold quantities awaiting order processing. Each product also has an inventory log. When stock runs out, a store can allow backorders, offer a waiting list or hide the item.
Review the offer for your country before opening a store. The non-US End-to-End page lists monthly billing, unlimited products and staff users, and separate payment-provider charges. The service does not accept merchants everywhere. Cancellation is available through the control panel; service fees are nonrefundable.
