What it does

ShipWorks installs on Windows and uses a local database, with web components for additional visibility. It connects store or warehouse systems to label purchasing and dispatch. Warehouse plans add multiple ship-from locations, automatic routing and barcode checks for the items being packed.

ShipWorks uses a Windows application and local database. The warehouse therefore needs suitable maintained workstations as well as its shipping hardware. API and ODBC connections can link an existing order or warehouse system to the dispatch process.

Check the contents before shipping

An administrator first registers the barcode scanner and prepares Single Scan packing slips. Open Scan-to-Ship and its Scan tab, then scan the order barcode to load the required items and quantities. Scan every item as it is packed. Incorrect items produce an alert; repeated quantities and bundle components must each be verified.

Once all items match, the order becomes verified and moves to the shipping stage. Automatic label printing is optional and uses the configured shipping profiles and rules. Clearing an unfinished order resets its verification, while Un-verify resets all items on a completed check.

Select capacity and locations

Subscription Monthly shipments Ship-from locations
Ecommerce Professional 5,000 1
Warehouse Essential 12,000 2 or more
Warehouse Professional 25,000 2 or more
Warehouse Elite 50,000 2 or more
Enterprise Custom Agreed capacity above 50,000 Scoped to the operation

All listed plans allow unlimited users and computers. Warehouse plans include intelligent routing and item pick-pack verification. Monthly shipment capacity, the number of fulfilment locations and the need for packing checks determine the appropriate subscription. A trial is offered.
