What it does

ShopFactory is desktop store-building software for Windows. A merchant maintains the shop project locally, previews changes and publishes the storefront to ShopFactory hosting or another chosen host.

Activate ShopFactory with a new key to create an account, or choose the existing username-and-password option. Keep those account details with the local shop project.

Edit products and pages on your Windows PC, then use Preview > Preview in external browser to inspect the storefront. Publish > Publish website on the net sends the changes to your host. ShopFactory tracks which pages changed, so later uploads need not rebuild the entire site. A seasonal range can be prepared locally before shoppers see it.

The core software has a one-time license. Premium cloud functions are included for 12 months; retaining those extras can add ongoing charges, while the core store continues. The latest release is available to ShopFactory 15 and rental-plan owners, so check update eligibility separately from the store license.

Strengths

  • The catalog can be prepared locally before publishing
  • Publishing tracks changed pages between uploads

Watch out for

  • Some optional cloud functions carry charges after the first included year
  • Access to the latest release depends on the software or rental entitlement

Best for

  • Small merchants who prefer a Windows desktop editing and publishing workflow
