What it does
Burst is Shopify’s free stock-photography resource for websites, marketing and other creative work. It offers themed collections and high- or low-resolution downloads, with commercial use and no mandatory attribution. You can use the photos on any commerce platform, not only Shopify.
Hover over or open a photo to choose High Resolution or Low Resolution. The download prompt requests an email address for high-resolution access; No thanks, give me the low resolution provides the smaller version. This is separate from Shopify’s store trial.
Collections include Retail, Work From Home, Food and Products. The Business ideas section pairs business concepts with photographs and supplier links.
Burst has both CC0 photos and photos under its own licence. Both allow commercial editing and use without credit. The Burst licence prohibits selling unaltered photo files or building a competing photo library. Recognisable people, brands and property may carry separate rights, and the photos cannot imply endorsement by Shopify or their author.
