What it does
ShopSite provides shopping-cart and storefront software that can build a store or add ordering buttons to an existing website. Its product family ranges from Free Express to paid editions sold directly or through hosting partners.
Choose the hosting arrangement with the software edition. Partners set their own bundle prices; an upfront license excludes hosting and upgrades, while monthly leases typically bundle both.
| Edition | License route | Relevant scope |
|---|---|---|
| Express | Free software | Entry-level store; confirm hosting and catalog terms |
| Starter | Monthly lease | Partner-hosted package |
| Manager | Upfront or monthly | Order-file exports |
| Pro | Upfront or monthly | Order-file exports and additional store features |
Back-office staff need user accounts. To inspect an order, open Orders, select one or more entries and choose View Orders. In Manager or Pro, Download Orders provides files for a separate fulfillment or bookkeeping process. The merchant FAQ lists tab-delimited, XML and QuickBooks for Windows formats. Check which format your receiving system accepts.
Keep a dated download before deleting fulfilled order records. This also gives the next person handling the order a file to work from, without assuming a direct connector to their software.
