What it does
ShortPixel provides image compression and optimization, including WordPress tools for existing images, new uploads and adaptive delivery.
Choose Image Optimizer for stored WordPress files, or Adaptive Images for container-sized CDN delivery that leaves server originals untouched. Optimizer controls include compression mode, EXIF handling, exclusions, thumbnail sizes and additional WebP/AVIF files. Its free monthly credits renew, but optimization pauses when they run out; paid options include Unlimited and nonexpiring one-time credits. Adaptive usage has different accounting: CDN traffic, or recurring image-size/format credits with another CDN. Do not equate one uploaded original with one chargeable image.
