What it does

Shutter Encoder is an FFmpeg-based converter for video, audio, and images. Its graphical tools cover encoding, trimming, cropping, colour adjustments, and production-oriented processing.

An editor can prepare incoming footage by selecting the needed segment, choosing an output codec, and adjusting image or colour-space settings before export. For compatible material, the cut-without-re-encoding function avoids a full encode. That route depends on the codec; it is not a blanket promise for arbitrary cuts in every format. The interface exposes detailed FFmpeg controls without requiring every job to be written as a command.

For H.264 and similar compressed sources, the documented cut-without-re-encoding mode places cuts at the nearest keyframe. Rewrap changes only the container and requires that container to accept the source codec. Save useful settings as presets for repeat jobs; the render queue can hold different encodes. Windows, macOS and Linux builds are offered, and FTP upload is an optional destination rather than an automatic sharing step for every job.
