What it does

Silvasoft combines purchase, sales, bank and cash entries with reporting and receipt recognition. Businesses can share their books with an accountant, while practices use a dashboard for several clients. The bookkeeping module is paid, with a 30-day trial that does not turn into a paid subscription automatically.

Books that a business and its accountant can share

Silvasoft gives an accounting practice an overview of its client administrations and shared access to their books. Receipt recognition creates booking proposals from documents, and bank connections support matching statement items to purchases or sales. Trial-balance, profit-and-loss, aging and cost-centre reports provide different views of those entries.

For bank records, use Bankboek in the bookkeeping module to add transactions or upload a statement file. The product supports CODA and MT940 files as alternatives to a live bank connection. These are formats supplied by banks, rather than ordinary receipt images.

Dutch and Belgian tax workflows differ

For a Dutch administration, Silvasoft calculates VAT and intra-community reporting figures and supports submission to the Dutch tax authority. Belgian administrations instead produce files for upload to Intervat. Select the appropriate country when setting up the administration.

Accountant access is permission-based. In Beheer → Alle gebruikers, select the person and the administration under Autorisaties, then adjust the permitted modules. An accountant can review or edit a client's books once access has been granted.

Pay for the modules and users you need

The regular calculator prices each administration separately, with a 20% discount for each additional user. These examples are euros per user per month, excluding VAT:

Module Monthly price
Bookkeeping, including customer records €13.95
Invoicing €8.95
Product and stock management €7.95
Time recording €3.95

Receipt recognition costs €0.16 per scan. Practices can view existing clients' shared administrations free, while managing their own client administrations uses separate practice pricing.

Register with an email address to try the software for 30 days. Paid use is billed monthly, and cancellation goes through support. One user cannot work in two sessions at the same time: signing in elsewhere logs the older session out. Separate staff therefore need their own users.

Browser access handles the books; the Android and iOS apps also support contacts, time, quotes and invoices. An API, a connection for other software, can manage contacts, products, stock and sales orders.

Strengths

  • Statement files and live connections provide different bank-import routes
  • Practices can review existing clients' shared books without a separate viewing charge
  • Module permissions can differ between users and administrations

Watch out for

  • Receipt recognition is charged per scan in addition to module subscriptions
  • One user's later login ends their earlier concurrent session

Best for

  • Dutch or Belgian businesses sharing bookkeeping with an adviser
  • Accounting practices switching between several client administrations
