What it does
Sioyek is a PDF viewer designed around technical reading. It offers reference previews, searchable highlights, bookmarks, portals, and keyboard-focused navigation.
Link a paragraph to its figure or theorem with a portal, then keep the destination visible in a second window while reading. The portal view follows nearby destinations as you move through the paper. Smart Jump previews references even without clickable PDF links, and searchable highlights help return to a passage. Official Windows, Mac and Linux packages are offered. OCR, translation and speech use optional external-command extensions, so their dependencies and data handling are separate from the core reader.
