What it does
Shahjalal Islami Bank provides online statements and Bangladesh bank transfers. Viewing access and payment permission are arranged separately. Its farmer account includes free internet balance and statement checks.
Viewing access and payment permission
Individual customers self-register from the bank’s internet-banking login page for viewing access. The bank must hold their email, mobile number and birth date. Moving money requires a completed application submitted to their account branch.
Joint and organisation accounts instead arrange permission through the branch. Authorised access includes linked-account statements, cheque requests and transfers within Shahjalal or to other Bangladesh banks through BEFTN and RTGS. Financial transactions require a soft token or verification code.
A no-frill account for farmers
Mudaraba Farmers Saving Deposit Account is for Bangladeshi farmers aged at least 18. Its opening and continuing minimum balance is BDT10. Statement and balance checks through internet banking, SMS service and the first ten-leaf cheque book are free. Debit-card issuance is charged separately.
Applicants provide identity documents, photographs, proof of farming, nominee details and a utility bill. Single and joint accounts are available. An account operated by thumb impression requires the holder to attend the branch for each transaction.
