What it does

Skedulo is a frontline-operations platform for field scheduling, shift rosters and mobile work. It allocates work using factors such as skills, availability and location, and connects offers, swaps, task progress and attendance with the wider operation.

In the web app's Shifts console, choose Create Shift, enter the details and select workers in Resources. Check the allocation before creating the shift. It first appears as a draft; publish it from the shift card so the assigned workers can see it. An administrator must enable the shifts feature and make the console available.

The calendar can flag clashes with availability, overlapping work or required skills. Moving an allocated shift to another worker returns it to draft, so publish again after checking the change. For unfilled work, shift offers let eligible workers respond before a scheduler confirms coverage.

Clock-ins, breaks and clock-outs remain associated with the shift. Managers compare worked and scheduled time, investigate differences and approve records for payroll or other connected systems. Scheduling rules can also require warnings, blocks or approvals, with a record of the rule behind a decision.

Skedulo sells annual subscriptions with at least a one-year commitment, usually priced by user per month. The quote takes the workforce mix into account, and integration cost depends on the systems and configuration involved. Trial arrangements need a sales discussion. Team members use their organization's assigned address and login credentials or central sign-in.

Strengths

  • Connects shift offers and worker responses with availability and eligibility checks.
  • Separates recorded attendance from reviewed and approved time.

Watch out for

  • Reassigning a shift by moving its card returns it to draft and requires publication again.
  • Subscriptions require at least a year, and integration work has a separate cost scope.

Best for

  • Frontline operations teams coordinating mobile workers, shift coverage and approved time records
