What it does
Sketch Engine analyzes text corpora through concordances, word lists and Word Sketches, with multilingual and parallel-corpus resources.
Choose a corpus and search for words, phrases or tags, then inspect the surrounding usage rather than relying on a frequency total alone. Concordance results can show lemmas and metadata, be filtered or randomly sampled, and be sorted before download. Downloads from preloaded corpora are capped at 1,000 concordance lines. The Academic Personal subscription includes one million words of space for your own corpora; preloaded corpora do not consume that space. That plan is restricted to qualifying academic work and excludes lexicography or nonacademic activity. Corpus selection still determines which usage examples the search can show.
