What it does
Skiv hosts, transcodes and delivers video. Uploads are transcribed automatically, and the transcript powers subtitles, chapters and in-player search. You can keep videos private, share by link or password, or publish a portal. The player supports 4K playback, Chromecast and Airplay, and can be embedded on other sites. Skiv also offers memberships for selling subscriptions to video content.
The site lists tools including a browser screen recorder, clipping, AI labels and tags, and podcast transcripts. It provides documentation and an API. Signups are currently limited: the join page says new accounts are not being accepted and asks people to email [email protected] to request access.
