What it does
SliQ Invoicing is Windows software for invoices, quotes, credit notes, customer statements and supplier bills. It also records payments and stock, making it useful for a small business that wants billing records on a desktop. The download has a 30-day trial without registration, followed by a £54.99 annual license.
Enter business details and a logo, choose a template, then issue an invoice for printing or emailing. Customer payments are recorded against their invoices, while supplier bills stay on the purchasing side. Quotes, delivery notes, credit notes and statements cover the documents around the sale as well as the bill itself.
The template editor can change more than a logo. You can add a payment summary, display tax totals by rate, rearrange columns or reduce a service invoice to descriptions and totals. A saved template can be associated with a particular customer or invoice. Use print preview after changing a layout to see how the fields fit.
For repeated work, the recurring-invoice tools are documented for SliQ Invoicing Plus. Open Invoices & Payments and select Manage Recurring. Create a transaction or copy an existing invoice, then choose the first date, interval and number of repeats. When invoices become due, Confirm Automatic Invoices lets you choose which to raise and adjust their items before printing or emailing them. A monthly maintenance contract can therefore keep its schedule while still allowing a changed charge to be checked.
SliQ lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11. The separate online invoicing service is a different access route, so choose the desktop download if you want the product described here.
The desktop trial lasts 30 days and requires neither registration nor upfront payment. Continued use costs £54.99 per year. After purchase, the activation code is emailed to the address supplied with payment; enter it in the registration dialog shown when the software starts. Businesses purchasing several copies can request a bulk quote.
