What it does

Slow Boring is an English-language newsletter about politics and public policy associated with Matthew Yglesias. Its official site includes essays, reader questions and current political discussion.

A policy essay offers a clearer introduction than an open question thread. Read the proposed tradeoffs closely when comparing a recommendation with other approaches to the same problem. The About page advertises four columns a week and a Friday mailbag. Free readers get one or two articles weekly and most audio; paid readers get all articles, mailbags, transcripts and the complete archive.
