What it does

SMMplanner schedules posts across social pages, groups and messaging channels. Named projects group destinations, while reusable captions, hashtags and team roles help manage several clients. Registration is required, and paid subscriptions offer a seven-day trial.

Register with email and password, then connect social accounts that have publishing rights through +Accounts. In Projects, choose Add project, name it and add the relevant pages. Selecting that project while composing a post adds all of its destinations together.

Project settings can hold watermark choices, hashtag sets and reusable captions. For a client's recurring announcements, insert the saved assets from the posting form instead of rebuilding them each time. A weekly timetable can apply to the entire project or one page; the page-specific timetable takes priority. The composer offers the nearest available slot.

SMMplanner's roles do not hand over rights inside the social network. An Editor can publish and edit posts but cannot change project membership or create reports. An Observer can view the feed and projects without editing. The feed can be filtered by date, destination or project to check the relevant work.

Paid plans are based on connected social-page capacity, with annual-payment discounts. The advertised trial lasts seven days; select the page allowance needed for the projects you will actually connect.

Strengths

  • Projects add a group of destinations to a post together
  • Reusable hashtags and captions can be inserted from the posting form

Watch out for

  • Editors cannot change project membership or create reports
  • A page's timetable overrides the project-wide timetable

Best for

  • Social teams coordinating several pages with separate publishing and viewing roles
