What it does
Sniffnet is a free, open-source traffic-monitoring application for inspecting bandwidth usage and the remote systems exchanging data with a computer.
Select the physical or virtual adapter that carries the traffic you want, or import a local PCAP for past activity. Sniffnet remembers the adapter selection, but the system’s default is not guaranteed to be the right source. Filters and host, service or program views help explain bandwidth and remote peers. PCAP export is optional and disabled by default; choose its path and allow for substantial disk use. The wiki documents Npcap compatibility mode on Windows, capture capabilities or elevated access on Linux, and Administrator access on macOS. The application is free under MIT or Apache-2.0. Its view covers the selected source rather than every network connected to the machine.
