What it does
SoftLedger combines a general ledger, intercompany eliminations and multi-currency consolidation with financial reporting. It can create recurring journals, bills and invoices as drafts for review. Annual-contract plans differ by entity count, users and access to integrations, inventory and digital-asset accounting.
SoftLedger organizes accounting across multiple entities and currencies. The ledger feeds consolidation and intercompany eliminations, with reporting for the group and individual businesses. Payables and receivables supply related transaction workflows, while its application programming interface (API) supports connections to other software.
Schedule a recurring accounting task
For a journal, open Financial > Journals > Journal Templates and choose + New, or select Create Template on an existing entry. The template holds the accounts, amounts, descriptions and dimensions.
In Financial > Journals > Recurring Journals, add a schedule using that template. Choose the frequency, start date and optional end date. A twice-monthly run needs two schedules, such as one beginning on the first and another on the fifteenth.
New documents arrive as drafts for review and posting. Admin > System Jobs shows completed runs and explains failures. Schedules only create future occurrences; a past start date does not recreate missing historical entries.
Updating a template affects later runs, leaving existing documents unchanged. Disable a schedule to pause it and re-enable it when needed.
Annual-contract plans
| Plan | Monthly equivalent, billed annually | Entities | Users |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $300 | Up to 3 | 1 |
| Standard | $750 | Up to 10 | 3 |
| Plus | $1,125 | Unlimited | 5 |
| Enterprise | Custom annual quote | Unlimited | Unlimited |
All plans include the general ledger, financial reporting, payables, receivables, cash management and revenue recognition. Standard adds API credentials and a sandbox, fixed assets, purchasing and inventory. Plus adds analytics. Digital-asset accounting, single sign-on and automated user provisioning sit in Enterprise.
Choose the plan around the work and connections required as well as the number of companies. For example, a small group needing an API connection still needs Standard or above, even if Starter's entity allowance would otherwise suffice. All published plans require an annual contract.
