What it does
Sonic Pi is a code-based music creation tool with synthesis, samples and live-performance workflows.
Write a live loop using synths, samples and effects, then change its notes or parameters while it runs. The site includes playable code examples, a browser engine and desktop builds for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Choose the desktop app for offline work, multichannel audio, OSC/Link or low-latency audio-interface use. The web version needs a network connection, has stereo audio I/O and lacks OSC/Link; its MIDI support excludes Safari.
