What it does
Sora is OverDrive’s student reading app for borrowing ebooks and audiobooks from a participating school’s collection. Sign-in uses the school’s chosen access route.
Find the school first and follow its account instructions, then borrow from the collection it provides. Sora’s reading tools and automatic returns can support independent reading, while school access does not create a right to every title in OverDrive’s wider catalogue.
Shelf downloads loans automatically on Wi-Fi for offline use; on mobile data, the guide describes streaming until Wi-Fi is available. Kindle delivery is a US student option, so check that route before relying on an e-ink device.
