What it does
MPC-BE is an open-source Windows media player derived from Media Player Classic and MPC-HC, with additional features and fixes.
The project lists hardware decoding, deinterlacing and automatic ISO mounting among its capabilities. Those are useful reasons to assess this branch separately from MPC-HC rather than choosing by the similar name alone. Its own project provides release files and issue links.
