What it does
NASA's child-focused articles, activities and games about Earth, space and technology.
Space Place lets children start with a question such as how the Moon changes appearance, then branch into Earth, the solar system or technology. The collection also includes a spacecraft-communication game and art activities. Ask a learner to choose a space question and explain the answer with a drawing afterwards. Comparing the drawing with the explanation provides a useful way to discuss an unfamiliar part of the idea.
Strengths
- Connects space explanations with games and creative tasks
