What it does
Speedtest by Ookla provides web and app-based connection testing, covering bandwidth, latency and additional experience metrics.
Speedtest is available through the web and downloadable apps for collecting a connection-performance sample. Ookla’s consumer overview lists bandwidth and latency alongside coverage and video metrics across the family. Choose the platform and keep the device, connection type and time with each comparison; those conditions can affect the experience being measured. The result is one connection sample rather than a guarantee for every application or destination. Check the selected app’s feature set before expecting the same measurements on every platform.
