What it does

Spendee combines manually entered cash expenses, category budgets and optional connected accounts. Shared cash wallets help couples, families or roommates track common purchases. A lasting free plan includes one cash wallet and one budget; paid plans add more wallets, sharing and bank synchronization.

Register with email and password or a supported Google, Facebook or Apple login. A shared wallet can keep a household's common purchases apart from each person's other expenses. In Accounts Overview, open a cash wallet, use its three-dot menu and choose Invite People. Send an email invitation to the person sharing those costs. Only the wallet owner needs Plus or Premium; guests can use free accounts.

Members can add, edit and delete any transaction in that wallet. Its categories belong to the owner. Bank account wallets cannot be shared, and each person's budget settings remain separate even when the underlying wallet is shared.

Plans and prices

Plan Website price Main allowance
Basic Free One cash wallet and one budget
Plus US$1.99 monthly or US$14.99 annually Unlimited cash wallets and budgets, including shared wallets
Premium US$5.99 monthly or US$35.99 annually Plus features, connected accounts and automatic transaction imports

Paid subscriptions are purchased in the mobile app, with a seven-day trial advertised on the pricing page. Local currency prices and tax can differ by country. Bank synchronization depends on the institution supported by Spendee.

Keep a copy of your expenses

In the mobile app, choose More → Export, select the accounts and period, then choose CSV or XLS. Basic exports cover the last 365 days; Plus and Premium remove that date restriction. The web app does not currently export data, and its budgeting tools are also still listed as coming later.

Strengths

  • Only the shared-wallet owner needs a paid subscription
  • Manual cash entries work alongside optional connected accounts
  • CSV and XLS export from the mobile app

Watch out for

  • Bank account wallets cannot be shared
  • Shared-wallet budgets keep separate settings for each member
  • Basic exports are limited to the last 365 days
