What it does
Spotfire provides visual analytics for investigating business and operational data. Its Windows application and enterprise sharing arrangements serve different individual and team workflows.
Spotfire's Windows application can analyze local files, clipboard data and connected databases. Python and TERR data functions extend the visual analysis; functions based on open-source R are excluded from the webstore licence.
The purchase route determines sharing. Webstore subscriptions are annual named-user licences. They let users save analysis files locally and share them with other licensed Windows-client users, but cannot publish those analyses for browser access. Enterprise supplies browser authoring and collaboration through an organization's own Spotfire environment.
A 30-day Industry Pro trial requires a business email and company details, with no credit card. Create or use a PureAUTH account, download the installer and sign in when the client launches. Trial access ends after the evaluation period. The trial's library is read-only and also excludes browser publication.
For the purchased Windows client, offline work is possible for up to two weeks after the last login. The webstore sells annual subscriptions; Industry Pro and Enterprise purchases go through sales.
