What it does
Spotify combines music search, playlists and listening recommendations with paid plans for ad-free playback and offline music.
Start with an artist or album, then save a playlist for a journey or mood. Free and Premium have different music controls; Premium adds ad-free music and eligible album or playlist downloads. Signup is limited to Spotify’s official country list, and features can differ from the US offer.
For offline music, download the album or playlist while online and find it in Your Library. Individual songs must be placed in a playlist first. Reconnect at least every 30 days to keep downloads; Free can download podcasts rather than music. In the mobile app, Media Quality separates Wi-Fi, cellular and download settings, while the web player does not offer that adjustment.
