What it does
SqueezeMetrics offers sqzme, a market-research service built around price, volatility and options-related measurements. Its public DIX and GEX chart covers an S&P 500 aggregate. Subscriber tools explore individual tickers, historical comparisons, downloadable data and API access.
The public chart and the subscriber ticker workspace measure different things. DIX summarizes dark-pool short-sale ratios; aggregate GEX estimates possible dealer-hedging pressure. The individual ticker’s G and D fields are different calculations, so their values should not be read as the public index series.
In Chart, choose a ticker, adjust the visible measurements and restrict the dates with the context brush. Nearest narrows the historical comparison pool. Watch how many observations remain and how widely their later outcomes vary; Reset clears the exploration. A compelling pattern selected after many attempts is not an independent performance test.
Research provides a separate five-day return distribution, including an observation count and percentile range. Data coverage differs by ticker and field, and historical files can change after upstream corrections. Retain the retrieval date when using a download in your own research.
The public DIX/GEX page is available without an account. Full sqzme access costs $720 per month and includes the web tools and API. Enrollment is currently by invitation. An invited user creates an account and adds a card, with the first charge scheduled 72 hours later. Billing shows that exact time; use Manage subscription there to cancel before it if you do not want to continue. The initial access window is time-limited, not a free full subscription.
