What it does
Stack Wallet is free software for multiple crypto wallets on mobile and desktop. It keeps keys on the device and offers contacts, favorites, custom nodes and a separately charged integrated exchange.
Stack Wallet suits people keeping several wallets organized in one application. Contacts can hold multiple crypto addresses, frequently used wallets can be marked as favorites, and custom nodes offer a connection choice. The GPL-licensed application is free, with iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux versions; Android also has APK and F-Droid distribution.
Its two recovery approaches have different purposes. Stack Wallet Backup can restore the collection together, but its format does not work in other wallet applications. Keep each wallet's recovery words independently so a missing or damaged backup file does not remove your fallback.
For an individual restoration, open My Stack and choose Add New. Select the currency, choose Restore Wallet and supply a name with that wallet's saved phrase. Multiple wallets for the same coin still need their respective recovery backups.
Ordinary sending and receiving incur blockchain fees without a Stack surcharge. The integrated exchange is different: a third-party provider receives the outgoing asset and sends back the replacement, with both provider costs and a Stack fee. Compare the final amount you will receive in the selected provider’s quote before sending funds.
