What it does
Start ASL offers a four-level American Sign Language course sequence, instructor feedback, community practice and an introductory trial.
Start with the free ASL 1 trial to examine the teaching format. Online Self-Study provides individual progress and completion certificates; choose Online Guided when you need instructor-reviewed signing assignments, grading or practice sessions. Offline downloads suit study without the platform but do not include online records, signing evaluation or certificates. The curriculum is primarily designed for ages 13 and up, with adult guidance recommended for younger learners. Start ASL does not award academic credit: obtain your school’s written acceptance before enrolling for that purpose.
